SlideWright

Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible (Controller)

Patrick Wollner, 1070 Vienna, Austria. Contact: [email protected]. This site is the waitlist for SlideWright, a macOS application in private alpha.

2. What we collect and why

The SlideWright app. The desktop app runs locally on your Mac and requires your own Anthropic API key to run AI reviews. When you run a review, your slide content goes directly from your Mac to Anthropic under your key. We do not receive, store, or process your slides, your key, or any AI-review data — that processing is between you and Anthropic under their terms.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party tracking. During the private alpha the site is password-protected, and a single strictly-necessary access cookie is stored on your device only to remember that you entered the access password. It holds no personal data, is not used for tracking, and is exempt from consent under §165(3) TKG 2021 / the ePrivacy Directive. No consent banner is required because nothing non-essential is stored.

4. Legal basis

We process your signup and feedback data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you tick the consent box. Transient server-log processing relies on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time (see §7); withdrawal does not affect prior processing.

5. Processors and international transfers

We use the following processors under data-processing agreements:

Where a processor handles data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Retention

We keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it or until the alpha programme ends and the list is closed. Feedback is kept as long as it is useful for product development.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian supervisory authority, the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the product develops. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
